Gemini takes its cues from the most advanced and future-oriented constructions worldwide. We have undertaken that the construction meets all the postulates of Green Building Design, which includes the maximum possible use of natural materials and renewable energy sources.
The towers will achieve an insulation coefficient that is 40% better than those of similar buildings in recent years.
Energy from a heat pump will be used for heating and cooling.
Diffused lighting of spaces with free-standing lights consumes 50% less electricity than lighting with ceiling lights.
The annual consumption of 5 million litres of sanitary water will be entirely replaced by the capture and use of rainwater.
All of this is reflected in obtaining the most prestigious certificate for environmentally and user friendly construction – LEED, which is granted by the United States Green Building Council based on a rigorous assessment system.
The slightly higher investment costs are off-set by the significantly lower energy consumption and building maintenance costs. Calculations and comparisons show that these costs are halved in comparison with existing buildings in Ljubljana.
